And it comes a time that any time you try to access some sites like Facebook, Twitter etc. with your Mozilla Firefox or Chrome browser you often get the message that tells you that “Your connection is not secured…” and it won’t let you pass that page to the site.

At that point we guess that you are already getting frustrated and you need immediate solution to bypass that error message and head to the site, which are trying to access.

Those types of error messages are mainly due to certificate problem and fixing them would not really need a rocket science application.

Here, we are going to be offering you 3 possible easy solutions, which when applied, will get the message off your away and allow you access the pages that you want to visit.

Without any ado, here are the 3 fixes you can apply to solve the “your connection is not secured” issue;

1.  Since we said that they are mainly certificate issue, so anytime you see such messages or similar ones, the first thing you should do is to check your computer time and date settings. Most times the messages are as result of alteration in the time and date of your system.

Since your PC is mainly set to synchronize with current time especially when accessing the internet, a backdated time could possibly be the cause.

At this point just check your computer time, especially date, you would probably see that the date is not current.

So a simple fix here is for you to reset your date and time to current one and you might have just succeeded in solving the problem.

2.  Secondly, after you have applied the date and time fix, if you are still getting similar error message, the next thing you should do is to try and update the current browser that you are using. Updating your current browser if not up to date can equally fix it.

3.  Thirdly is after the two fixes above and if the problem persists, then it is time to change your network carrier, because sometimes some networks are culprit to such errors.

For example down here, there was a time the Etisalat network was the guilty party and currently Glo network is equally cause that. So all you need to do is to switch to other networks and you should be good to go.

After you have applied any or all of those fixes, you should now be able to access your webpages again without further issues or “your connection is not secured” message.
